The Teamraderie Team Effectiveness Program is an initiative designed to empower managers and teams at Mastercard with the skills and knowledge needed to foster stronger collaboration, communication, and overall team effectiveness. It offers a variety of team experiences and resources tailored to address specific areas for team development.

The program covers a wide range of topics essential for building high-performing teams, including:

  • Effective Communication: Strategies for clear and open communication, active listening, and giving and receiving feedback.
  • Collaboration: Tools and techniques for working together effectively, resolving conflicts, and building trust.
  • Leadership Skills: Developing strong leadership capabilities, delegating tasks, and motivating team members.
  • Diversity and Inclusion: Understanding and appreciating diversity, promoting inclusivity, and creating a welcoming environment for everyone.
  • Productivity and Performance: Optimizing team processes, setting goals, and achieving high-level results.

Teamraderie experiences work for teams of all sizes, though the optimal team size is 5-12 people.

Yes! Engage with your team regardless of location — all of the experiences are available globally.

Yes, Teamraderie experiences can be done in-office, hybrid, or fully remote.

The Teamraderie Program is currently open to SVPs/EVPs and team members across all departments at Mastercard. It’s designed to benefit all types of teams, whether they’re hybrid, remote, or onsite, and is particularly valuable for our global workforce.

The Teamraderie Program offers:

  • Interactive Team Experiences:
    Engaging experiences led live by top-tier creators and hosts (for example, elite athletes, highly-rated professors, leading experts and book authors) to dive deeper into specific topics.
  • Experience Kits:
    Select experiences include boxes with items that can be delivered to any office or home location globally (for example, NASCAR kit or LEGO Brick kit).
  • Resource Library:
    A curated collection of evidence-based teams to supplement your learning.

Each team experience costs $600-$2,000 on average. Overall, the Mastercard Teamraderie program is guaranteed with a centralized budget. Each individual experience will be charged against your department code. Mastercard’s L&D team will reach out for your cost string.

New experiences are regularly added to keep the program fresh and relevant to the evolving needs of our teams. Check the program portal regularly for updates.

Your team will receive a series of four evidence-based tips over the month following the experience. These tips include both research and actionable steps to take to continue building upon the topics your team learned in the experience.

First, read and implement the evidence-based tips you receive each week following the experience. These emails include actionable ways to continue the conversation and grow toward the target outcome. Then, continue to share Teamraderie experiences every three months with your team. A quarterly cadence ensures your team prioritizes time together to learn new skills and improve team dynamics.
